Message #27215
[Bug 448926] [NEW] specifying "-extension Composite" does not disable composite extension (Ubuntu 8.04)
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xephyr
See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=480737 basically
the same problem.
To reproduce:
1) Start Xephyr with the Composite extension disabled, e.g. `Xephyr :1
-extension Composite`
2) run `xdpyinfo -display :1 | grep Composite` and notice that the
composite extension is still enabled on the nested X server
Applying the patch in the original debian bug report, (basically just
deleting the #ifdef COMPOSITE in kdrive.c) rebuilding xorg-server and
installing the new .deb for xserver-xephyr fixes the problem. This has
only been tested in Ubuntu 8.04.
** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
