[Bug 450858] [NEW] X server crash while watching video and playing cards
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
The X server frequently crashes if I watch a video using xine while doing something else (playing cards in KPatience, programming in Eclipse, sometimes even just switching desktops).
After the crash, kdm re-starts the X server and I can log back in.
The crash also sometimes happens while I'm simply working, although it occurrs much more frequently when I watch video.
What happens during the crash:
The screen switches to tty1 while any sound (music, from the video, ...) keeps playing for several seconds (3-5). After a while the X server comes back on and the login screen is displayed.
I'm using Jaunty.
