[Bug 450947] [NEW] Regression from jaunty - video corruption in text consoles

 

Public bug reported:

When I switch to a text console using C-A-F1, I see a corrupted display
(the text console's text is completely non-present; only a mosaic of
random other colors is visible). Switching back to X restores the
display, but the text console is unusable like this.
