[Bug 453343] [NEW] Resolution sucks since upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10. 720x400 is best widescreen resolution available.

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

computer: Dell Inspiron
monitor: Acer 22" wide screen

Previously, 9.04 was installed and worked fine.
On same machine, 9.10 worked fine in VirtualBox virtual machine.
Since I upgraded 9.04 to 9.10 on the physical Dell, resolution has been poor.

Assumption: Dell hardware poorly supported in 9.10.
