[Bug 454029] Re: [x-updates] screen resolution messed up; no longer recognizes monitor type
Thanks for your bug report. I heard some rumours on the forums that the
last 2.9.0 was not working correctly for some people, but unfortunately
nobody there provided any information like log files.
> Yesterday a new version of xserver-xorg-video-intel came out for
Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) and I upgraded it using Synaptic.
Note that you are using the -intel driver from the x-updates PPA which
is not fully, officially supported. The official version in Jaunty is
still 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu9.3.
Anyway, feel free to file bugs here about the x-updates packages, but
please mark it clearly in the description that it is x-updates. And
please subscribe the last uploader (me in this case).
Albert, thanks for finding the issue and solving it. I will upload a new
package.
Sergio, the old package is available in the PPA, just search for
packages with "Any status":
