Binary package hint: xorg

Why can't I chance resolution bigger than 800x600. Dislpay is too large
for internet surfing. My screen is LG Flatron L1811S, and it shoul be
use default resolution 1240x1024 or at least 1024x768...I'm a new user
for Ubuntu, and I like it, but will not continue to use unless I can use
a probe resolution.
