I have this problem with Kubuntu 9.10 with all updates installed up
until yesterday. Random freezes, only mouse moving and nothing else
works. I havent had this problem with GNOME (Ubuntu 6.06 - 9.04) on same
machine. Havent tried Ubuntu 9.10 though.

Have Toshiba Portege M100; Intel Pentium M 1.2 GHz, 855GM.
