Message #34176
[Bug 480655] [NEW] X crashed after suspend, respawned X was unresponsive to keyboard and mouse
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
This is a Dell Inspiron 1501 with a Radeon Xpress 200M. (I assume
further hardware detail was attached by ubuntu-bug, but if not I will
happily try to provide further details.)
I suspended at 10:41 and tried to resume at 11:01. My screen contents
never reappeared and I was taken to a (graphical) log-in screen. At this
screen, my system was unresponsive to keyboard or touchpad, but it shut
down "cleanly" when I pressed the power button. (ie. I did not have to
power cycle it.) I think what had happened was that the X server crashed
on resume and was respawned although without keyboard or touchpad.
