[Bug 480891] [NEW] Xorg does not use full resolution of monitor (Intel)
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Since updating (reinstall) my system from jaunty to karmic the detection
of the correct monitor resolution is broken. By default my Iiyama Vision
Master Pro 450 (max. 1600x1200) is run with 1152x870@75Hz. It can be
switched to max. 1280x1024@75Hz manually.
If I boot the system with "nomodeset" option, everything is working
fine: default resolution is 1600x1200@85.0.
I'm not using any /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
[lspci -nn | grep VGA]
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2e22] (rev 03)
Further system informations will be attached.
