Message #35633
[Bug 486253] [NEW] evdev driver (still) kills arrow keys
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-evdev
Once there was a known bug on xorg-input-evdev causing the keybord arrow
keys to be mapped to wrong keysims, for instance top arrow to "print
screen", bottom arrow to "multi key", ecc.
This is documented in
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg_input_hotplugging#Using_the_evdev_driver_kills_my_arrow_keys.2C_printscreen_is_triggered_instead
In principle, that bug should have been fixed with xorg-input-evdev
2.1.0, hence ubuntu karmic should be free from it.
Unfortunately this is not (completely) the case. When my machine is
hibernated and restarted from hibernation, I frequently have my arrow
keys mismapped.
