[Bug 487523] [NEW] TOSHIBA Satellite M70 (Intel 915GM) produces bad EDID causing large font sizes; needs quirk
Public bug reported:
On Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala I am experiencing again bug #151311, which
had been solved on Ubuntu.810 Intrepid Ibex.
Detailed timing reports an incorrect screen size, whereas max image size
is correct:
xdpyinfo:
screen #0:
dimensions: 1280x800 pixels (289x21 millimeters)
resolution: 112x968 dots per inch
Xorg.0.log:
(II) intel(0): Max Image Size [cm]: horiz.: 33 vert.: 21
[...]
(II) intel(0): Supported detailed timing:
(II) intel(0): clock: 71.2 MHz Image Size: 289 x 21 mm
[...]
(II) intel(0): EDID vendor "LPL", prod id 0
(II) intel(0): EDID quirk: Detailed timings give sizes in cm.
I will attach all the relevant log files shortly.
