[Bug 488467] [NEW] xorg/nvidia crash while using flash

Public bug reported:

I'm experiencing randomly occurring graphics card crashes while using
Flash. These didn't happen with my older ati card, but started to occur
after switching to a newer nvidia GTX 260 and installing the nonfree
drivers available via Jockey. Originally, I experienced these in Jaunty,
but after a clean install of Karmic, they are stil occurring (albeit
with less regularity).

Generally, I'll be browsing in Firefox, and suddenly the system becomes
unresponsive. According to the sysmon screenlet on my second monitor,
the memory and CPU load are as normal. The screen flickers every few
seconds and gradually accumulates artifacts. Alt+SysRq,R,E (sometimes I)
sometimes buys me enough responsivity to switch to tty1, and (again,
sometimes) I can then log in and reboot safely. Starting a new X server
from the terminal, however, merely gets me a flickering fullscreen
nVidia logo across both monitors.

Standard Karmic AMD64 Kernel
nVidia driver version 185.18.36 (Through jockey)#
Shockwave flash 10.0r32

------------
I have no idea what all those NVRM messages are, but they suddenly appear in the log when the 'seizure' happens, at 17:58:55
Note the segfault in nvidia_drv.so at 18:00:02, following SIGTERM
The two messages at the end, just before I managed to reboot, occurred while trying in vain to log in via tty1.

Please let me know if you require any further information. Will be happy
to oblige.
