Public bug reported:

Environment:

1. kubuntu
2. kdm

Steps to reproduce:

1. Boot PC
2. Get KDM login prompt
3. press CTRL+ALT+1 to switch to 1st virtual console
4. press CTRL+ALT+7 to switch  back to KDM
5. select password/username field with mouse
6. try to type password/username

Expected result:

1. password or username is typped

Actual result:

1. no reaction for keyboard input, unable to input password/username; CTRL+ALT+1, CTRL+ALT+DEL don't work, any key doesn't work.
2. the only thing helps is ATL+SysRq+R - then able to switch to virtual console and restart KDM, after KDM restart  no wrong behaviour is seen.

The same proble also occurs after login to KDE on __first__ switch to
virtual console, restart of KDM helps.
