[Bug 500105] [NEW] x freezes in ubuntu 9.04 on using OOo

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

Ubuntu 9.04

xorg:
  Geïnstalleerd: 1:7.4~5ubuntu18
  Kandidaat: 1:7.4~5ubuntu18
  Versietabel:
 *** 1:7.4~5ubuntu18 0
        500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I opened OOo and x freezes immediately. I wanted to write this report,
only Firefox opened, and x froze again.

+ Does ctrl+alt+f1 take you to a console? --> no
+ Does ctrl+alt+backspace restart X? --> no
+ Does mouse pointer still move? --> no
+ Does the keyboard LED come on when hitting the CAPSLOCK key? --> no
+ Can you ssh into the system from another computer? --> don't know how to do

Only xorg in dapper drake was stable. After upgrading to 8.04 and further this freezing occured.

Compiz disabled.
