[Bug 502032] [NEW] [karmic] periodic crashes in active use, returning to gdm login. nvidia-glx-173 (nvidia 5200)

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

Ubuntu 9.10.
nvidia-glx-173 - 173.14.20-0ubuntu5 (nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200] (rev a1))
xorg - 1:7.4+3ubuntu10
I am unable to post steps to reproduce this bug; it appears to happen under what i would call 'normal' system use, without a recognisable (as of yet) trigger pattern.
