[Bug 504233] Re: X server may crash system by flooding log so it will consume all diskspace

 

Yes, errors are from other programs. But isn't log (.xsession-errors)
being written by X server itself? Even if errors are caused by clients,
poor management of log file is an issue. Actually, this allows
unprivileged process to completely exhaust disk space and  cause denial
of service condition (because OS may encounter  numerous issues when all
disk space consumed).
