Public bug reported:

My configuration:
 1) OS: Kubuntu 9.10 AMD64.
 2) ~200 Gb on system partition (!!!).

Issue details:
 X server have just completely crashed my system so I have to perform emergency reboot via text-mode console.
 I found that window manager has terminated and system became unstable due to lack of space on system partition.
 Investigation of issue shown that something has happened and /home/MyUserName/.xsession-errors got heavily flooded with warnings.
 Then .xsession-errors has grown in size up to 200 Gb (!!!!) within some few hours. And X server runs from root user so even 5% space reserve for root user got used as well, so no single free block has left on device and OS got unstable at this point.

Workaround:
 I had to remove overgrown .xsession-errors and reboot to actually free busy space.

Outcome: 
 .xsession-errors may consume all disk space - up to 200Gb within some hours. That's unacceptable.

Expected: 
 1) X server must suppress duplicate log messages coming at unreasonably high speeds (just like Kernel does, etc).
 2) Log size have to be limited and probably logs should be rotated when size limit reached, etc.
