[Bug 496890] Re: Garbled screen when disabling internal display on macbook

I observe a similar problem. I have Dell Latitude D620, and external
display works fine until I try to disable internal screen. When I
disable, I get small visual issues all over. I attach a couple of
images. First image is a screenshot of konsole. It shows a text cursor
(white block), but two characters later there's stay underscore. It
randomly appears -- e.g. if I start typing first character somethings
gets struck with underscore. Second screenshot is from kmail. Note that
some items have bluish underline. This appears when I hover over items
with the mouse. The item under mouse is highlighted in blue -- which is
expected. But then when I move mouse, the buttom part of this highlight
"sticks". It almost looks like there's off-by-something bug caused by
absent first monitor.
