[Bug 517213] [NEW] X windows freeze on startup

 

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

I cannot reproduce it reliably, but it happen very often after some latest updates:
1) Boot Ubuntu
2) When Gnome starts, click on user you have to login
3) Type password

Expected result:
No freeze

Actual result:
System freezes during typing.
Neither keyboard, power button nor mouse works.
