[Bug 439188] Re: [GM45] blender rotate (xrandr) on external monitor freezes, logouts, corruptions
I just did some testing on this bug with lucid 20100216 desktop iso
64bit loopback mounted from hd via grub2.
with current lucid graphics drivers:
stock blender (2.49): freeze on the second rotate back after also rotating the cube in blenders 3D window. no ctrl+alt+F1, but sysrq+K works. Furthermore, the left rotated blender fullscreen window takes only about the upper half of the screen.
blender 2.5alpha0: same freeze.
with current xorg-edgers drivers (mesa7.8.0 git20100211):
no freezes with either blender version.
Some small visual problems appear that then go away completely:
sometimes blender first expands over both screens and on first click in blender scales back to fullscreen on the big screen (as it should have been from the start)
once or twice there were strange redraw problems. e.g. the "configure display settings" menue appeared bit by bit only on mouseover.
