Public bug reported:

I installed the updates for ubuntu and after this the program report to
me that it cannot overwrite glx library for NVIDIA Cards and doesn't
allow me to restore the previous driver. After taht ubuntu starts always
in low resolution graphics abd any try about the reinstall of the driver
both using synaptic or apt-get fails.
