[Bug 528282] [NEW] Xorg acts weird on boot [intel, Dell E6500]

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

When I start Lucid on my new laptop, I get the Ubuntu logo in the middle
of the screen. At the moment I'd expect to get a login screen, the logo
disappears and I get some text -- AND the Xorg mouse cursor!

I can then switch to another VT and back to the X VT to get the login
screen, but as soon as I log in, X crashes.

When I then login a second time, everything works as expected.
