Lucid 10.04 updated today.

Sequence:
- boot the the systems, login
- do not start any applications
- select hibernate
- The system hibernates, needs aout 40 secs
- Press power button to start agin
- some horizontal line, then the screen goes blank
- systems frozen, screen blank, Keys like Alt-F1 to Alt-f12 have no reaction
- Ctrl-alt-delete cause a reboot
- Systems boots normally

Notes:
- see also #488720 "Suspend/resume with nvidia driver fails", is probably related, although I'm taking specifcally about hibernate as opposed to suspend.
- I've not convinced its nvidia specific..
