Message #52888
[Bug 540517] [NEW] Screen resolution/raster wrongly managed
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
I'm not sure that this is the right place to report this bug, as it
concerns the ATI Radeon Driver.
I have a Gagabyte GA-MA89G-DS3H main board which includes ATI Radeon HD 320 graphics subsytem.
My monitor is iiYama ProLite E2209HDS (1920 x 1080) connected with the HDMI cable to the main board.
I did a fresh install of Ubunto 9.10. All went well until...
After updating the system, in particular installing the ATI/AMD driver
(FGLRX) on reboot I have 1" - 2" of unused screen space. Before
updating, the entire screen surface was used.
Do you have any ideas where this can come from.
By the way, on a separate disk I installed Windows (ie not dual boot).
Before getting the latest ATI drivers I had 1" - 2" of unused space
(just like now, on Ubuntu) around the perimeter, but the latest Windows
ATI drivers had the problem go away.
Thanks in advance for any aissistance
