[Bug 541578] [NEW] [Lucid] Display mysteriously freeze temporarily with recommended nvidia driver

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I'm running Lucid on a laptop with an nVidia GeForce Go 7600 graphics
controller. After upgrading to the proprietary current (recommended)
nvidia driver, the mysteriously freezes as I'm typing in a terminal.
Actually, the display just froze as I was typing this sentence and then
unfreezes after a minute or so.
