Lucid Lynx Alpha 3: Synaptics Touchpad does not work during first few
minutes after boot

The touchpad is seen by dmesg:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ dmesg | grep -i touch

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ 

... but doesn't work during the first few minutes. After that, the
touchpad is OK again.

On older Ubuntu's, the touchpad always works.
