I don't post because I am not a programmer and I really have no idea
what most of what you are saying is.  I even made several big mistakes
in my post so far so I will just be quiet and not make a bigger fool of
myself.  I am happy by the way that you all are working to fix the
problem.  Still, as long as I keep compiz turned off on this computer I
have no problems thus far.  I will try to test against the Beta when I
can get to it but that won't be before April first since I have serious
personal matters to attend to currently.  (The company I work for just
went out of business so I have to find a new job and fast.)

I am not sure if it is relevant or not but I have noticed that every
distribution I try with the new GTK+ has serious problems though not all
the same problems.  I have also noticed a difference in the performance
between 32 bit and 64 bit.  32 bit works better for some reason.
