Binary package hint: xorg

I've added the screen brightness applet on the taskbar (sorry, I'm new
from Windows) and when I click on the applet, it gives a pop up menu.

That's fine.

But if I try clicking on either the + or - buttons, or try to drag the
slider, it vanishes immediately - not letting me do anything.

Sometimes when I click on the widget again, I don't get the pop up
immediately below; it's moved either slightly to the right, or to the
extreme left (edge of the screen, still visible, below the Ubuntu menu
buttons).

Using the keyboard's up/down/page up/page down keys is the only way.

Moreover, the FN+F10 and FN+F11 keys don't work on the Lenovo 3000 V200.
I'm not sure if a driver will fix that - cause most of the other FN keys
work fine.
