[Bug 545493] [NEW] xorg nouveau outputs corrupted video on GeForce 8600 GTS

Binary package hint: xorg
GDM starts up, the screen switches to VT 9 but the video output is
corrupted. See attached screenshot.
This issue appeared during an upgrade to Lucid beta from Karmic. Using
xorg-edgers/nouveau driver on a GeForce 8600GTS in a Dell Inspiron 530n
desktop.
