Message #59397
[Bug 556278] [NEW] mplayer reports X11 error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
After upgrade my system (Netbook mobii with Ubuntu 9.04 installed and
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
with 256Mb) neither mplayer nor vlc nor Totem works (before they did).
Searching I've found some solutions on
http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=32259 where you need to modify
xorg.conf.
My surprise came when I saw xorg.conf had this lines added:
SubSection "Display"
Virtual 2080 1024
EndSubSection
I just comented them, restarted xorg and now mplayer, vlc and Totem work fine ;-)
