Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

The touchpad on my MSI CR500 is only being detected as a normal mouse.
Mouse function and touchpad clicking are working, but there is no
Touchpad tab in System > Preferences > Mouse.

I am running Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala with the proprietry Nvidia
graphics drivers. The problem is present on both my present install with
the Nvidia drivers and on booting from the Ubuntu 9.10 livecd.
