I'm using xserver-xorg-video-nouveau from the xorg-edgers PPA, and the
problem appears to be fixed as of now.

This is with xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
0.0.15+git20100416.40636169-0ubuntu0sarvatt

The upstream bug shows no resolution and the problem is still present in
Lucid main. How do we figure out what the fix was and get it into Lucid?

ATTENTION! If you are experiencing this bug, please post the output of
the following terminal commands:

 o  apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
 o  lspci | grep -i nvidia
