So, the hypothesis in the summary (lack of dithering for the 18bit
panel) seems reasonable, and will probably require a machine-specific
quirk to get right.  To gather all the information that would be
necessary for upstream to do a proper quirk, could you please run
“apport-collect 305909”, preferably on an Ubuntu 10.04 system - a LiveCD
would be fine.

Once we've got that I'll send this upstream, where a quirk can be
applied.
