[Bug 573944] [NEW] X stops responding to mouse events

>From time to time the mouse stops responding to buttons being pressed or
scrollwheel being scrolled. This affects every open application as well
as desktop menus and applets. The cursor still moves and keyboard
shortcuts work fine.
