Message #68446
[Bug 575395] [NEW] package fglrx (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported:
After upgrade from Karmic to 10.04 I get "low graphics" mode on startup.
My graphics card is a Radeon HD2400 (AGP). I ran the latest ATI install
package which was fine on Karmic Koala. It made no difference this time
so tried to enable ATI driver from Hardware Manager. This fails and
gives me the message "SystemError: installArchives() failed". The ATI
driver file name is ati-driver-installer-10-3-x86.x86_64.run
