Public bug reported:

I had problems with the graphics in xbmc after upgrading to 10.04 lucid
lynx. Removed the proprietary drivers which did not help. Tried to re-
install them which failed. In addition, when checking for updates, it
seems as it initiate an _upgrade_. After a few seconds, it says that the
system is updated.
