Message #74883
[Bug 584898] Re: [i945gm] Duplicated and missing applets in the applet panel on startup
I have a 32-bit notebook Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V3205 which uses
Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset and ubuntu 10.04 installed on. I get
the same or similar problems with the applets on the upper gnome panel.
For example the applet with my name, the "Ubuntu One" applet, and the
logout applet are missing. The applet with date/time information is
doubled (with two different values of time however).
This really looks to depend on desktop effects; first I used to keep
switched them off and there were no problems. One day I set them to the
"Normal" level and the problems began. (I have not tested yet if the
problems disappear after turning the effects off.)
