[Bug 592676] [NEW] Xorg freeze when adding an external monitor

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 591929 ***
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591929

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

This is likely to be a duplicate of bug #591929.

On the same hardware (Dell Latitude E4310), X freezes any time I try to add an external monitor/projector via the VGA port.
Also in my case the LiveCD works correctly.
I am using the laptop VGA port, and not a docking station as #591929.

Moreover, I have tried installing Maverick, without any success (the bug
is the same in Lucid and Maverick).
