[Bug 575868] Re: [arrandale] thinkpad t510 starts in low graphics mode

xorg.conf?

The intel driver no longer requires an xorg.conf now that it uses KMS. The fact that yours still existed is a problem with the upgrade process from Karmic, not a problem with the -intel driver, so I really couldn't answer that for you.

See if removing your xorg.conf solves this:
sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bak
You can revert it if needed with:
sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bak /etc/X11/xorg.conf
If it's still wrong without an xorg.conf, file a new bug report with 'ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-video-intel'.
