Message #79402
[Bug 598331] [NEW] Touchscreen inverted x-axis evtouch driver
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-evtouch
I did try to report this via command line: ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-
input-evtouch
Monitor is Dell E15FPTc with Microtouch / 3M touch screen.
Distro: Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix
System: Acer Aspire R1600 (like a mini-pc)
Behavior:
- x axis is backwards
- x axis is shifted slightly to side
+ Drag works
+ y axis is somewhat close
? Can't confirm if it can double click
Things I have tried to fix:
- install PuppyLinux, lubuntu, ubuntu desktop x86_64 (all with same result/behavior on default install)
- all of these efforts were then done in the netbook installation...
- installed xserver-xorg-input-evtouch
- used fdi file from http://old.nabble.com/evtouch-fdi-file-for-IDEACO-IDC-6680-touchscreen-td19048740.html as starting point for attached file I called 10-delltouch.fdi
- Installed hal, started hald as a service, found the device by lshal
- confirmed that any changes to my fdi (new options, different vales) file were executed by then running
lshal -lu /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_596_1_noserial_if0_logicaldev_input
- swapped minx maxx values (no effect)
- added swapx true value (no effect)
- added rotate cw (no effect)
