[Bug 454340] Re: own layout: solution for No Symbols named "any_own_layout" in the include file "original layout"

 

You would normally configure the Great Britain and the Poland keyboard
layouts, then assign a key sequence to switch between the two. This can
be done in System/Preferences/Keyboard/Layouts. You can choose, for
example, Alt+Shift as a shortcut to switch between the two languages.

You may also create a hybrid keyboard layout that works for both English and Polish. You can either change an existing layout in your system, or you can add a new layout. Some helpful hints on how to add easily a new layout can be found at http://simos.info/blog/archives/1134
However, in most cases it is not usable to create hybrid layouts, thus they are not recommended.
