[Bug 613447] [NEW] On laptop with closed lid + external monitor, display settings revert automatically to both enabled

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I use laptop with lid closed (and power manager set to do-nothing on lid close) and an external monitor.
Sometimes, the setup reverts back to two monitor setup monitor and laptop enabled. Laptop screen is then set automatically as primary and my gnome bottom and top panels disappear. There is no clear way to repeat this, but application launch seems to trigger. In last case, the ubuntu-bug command triggered this beahvior.
