[Bug 619364] [NEW] Xorg freeze on enabling monitor (intel)

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

First I woke my computer up from sleep, then I plugged a monitor into my
laptop (Toshiba Satellite with Intel graphics)'s VGA port. After that I
went to System > Preferences > Monitors to enable my secondary display.
When I clicked the 'Apply' button, I got a black screen and [mi] EQ
overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.

I hard rebooted (I did not have an opportunity to try and SSH into the
box) and tried to turn the monitor on again and it worked just fine.

xserver-xorg 1:7.5+5ubuntu1
xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.1-3ubuntu5

This is my first bug report, please be gentle.
