[Bug 619513] [NEW] Xserver fails

Public bug reported:

sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx-185
install and compiles fine.
But upon reboot my freshly installed maverick amd64
hangs at boot...
I have been forced to switch to nv driver instead of nvidia in xorg.conf
Happen on both my old macbook pro
and my stationary computer.
has not been working last 5 days
