Public bug reported:

After updating the Ubuntu 10.04 kernel from 2.6.32 to 2.6.35-17 by
adding "ppa:kernel-ppa/ppa" to my third-party sources and then
installing the new kernel via Synaptic , it seems the Nvidia 173 driver
crashes each time I boot up and puts a crash icon in the notification
tray area. Otherwise, the computer seems to work OK.
