Message #86098
[Bug 625264] [NEW] mouse pointer trapped in a window
Public bug reported:
Problems using nedit in Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64
Nedit works OK at first, then starts to malfunction.
Copy-paste by highlighting and middle-mouse click, or by menu, starts failing to work within the same window.
Meanwhile, copy-pasting from elsewhere (eg xterm window) DOES work. On another tab, everything seems normal.
Today I tried to close down the offending tab by right clicking on it. The result was that the mouse pointer was "trapped" within the tabs bar.
All I could do then was CNRTL-ALT F1 to do a text login and kill nedit.
In fact the X session on console F7 crashed before I managed to kill nedit, but that may be related to pulseaudio because I was playing music at the time.
Log message:

A static build of an older nedit with motif has the same problem with a
right-click on tabs with 10.04. Not a problem with 8.04.
The right-click on a tab problems is reported separately as a bug in lesstif, but appears to be an Xorg problem.
See: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=543647
Looks like Redhat have a patch for this particular bug in Fedora, but judging by reversions there, it has not been fixed upstream in Xorg.
