[Bug 627095] [NEW] package fglrx-amdcccle (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive

Public bug reported:

Hmmm....I tried it again and it installed. I was having a lot of segfaults and then update & synaptic stopped working.
I re-installed Ubuntu 10.04.1 and then restored my /home directory which is on a separate partition.
After about 5 successful startup/shutdowns had one instance where PC froze up and had to hard power off.
Was using firefox at the time and switched over to chromium though sometimes firefox is auto started by other software.
Will run system with the fglrx driver with visual effects set to none for awhile and see how that goes.
Once fglrx driver is working for awhile I then want to install Virtualbox and install Windows XP.

Incidentally, I think what triggered my last slew of problems was ubunto
one and/or MySql which I will stay away from
