[Bug 628277] [NEW] xsetwacom reports wrong expresskey configuration
Public bug reported:
Tested and confirmed on both intuos 3 and intuos 4 on ubuntu 10.04 32
and 64 bit. Using version 1:0.10.5-0ubuntu4 of this package.
Steps to reproduce:
xsetwacom set 'Wacom Intuos3 4x5 pad' Button4 "CORE KEY CTRL z"
This correctly sets the button, and the key combination works as
expected.
Now if you want to find what that button is set to,
xsetwacom get 'Wacom Intuos3 4x5 pad' Button4
returns the number 4 instead of the key combination.
This functionality is different than in ubuntu 9.10 and earlier, where it returned the key combination from the set line, "CORE KEY CTRL z".
This bug is important because it affects the functionality of programs that rely on xsetwacom as a backend, such as this tablet control panel I am maintaining.
e.g. http://gtk-apps.org/content/show.php/Wacom+Control+Panel?content=104309
I have also reported this bug here:

** Affects: xf86-input-wacom (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
