[Bug 623954] Re: no smooth transition to x
Can you tell if there's a mode-switch transition when X starts?
Although it looks like (although I can't be sure from these logs) X is
using the same resolution as has been set by the kernel, there are two
valid 1400x1050 modes with different refresh rates. It's entirely
possible that X is setting a new mode, differing only in refresh rate.
If you can't tell, you could reboot, setting the “drm.debug=0x04” kernel
command line parameter (add it just after “quiet splash”), and attach
the output of dmesg here.
