[Bug 633224] [NEW] Trackpoint scrolling no longer works (Lenovo X300)
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Since an update to maverick meerkat (today, 8.9.2010), on my Lenovo X300
vertikal and horizontal scrolling no longer works. However, I can set it
(temporarly) with these commands:
bve@bve-laptop:~$ xinput set-int-prop "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint" "Evdev Wheel Emulation" 8 1
bve@bve-laptop:~$ xinput set-int-prop "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint" "Evdev Wheel Emulation" 8 1
bve@bve-laptop:~$ xinput set-int-prop "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint" "Evdev Wheel Emulation Button" 8 2
bve@bve-laptop:~$ xinput set-int-prop "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint" "Evdev Wheel Emulation Timeout" 8 200
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 141 (XInputExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 57 ()
Serial number of failed request: 18
Current serial number in output stream: 19
bve@bve-laptop:~$ xinput set-int-prop "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint" "Evdev Wheel Emulation Axes" 8 6 7 4 5
I didn't yet look deeper into what I have to change to make it work
permanently, but I think it should work out of the box. I have disabled
the touchpad, which makes some difference as regards the xinput list
description for the trackpoint.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu)
